Overview

Avianese is a private aviation booking platform designed to help travelers find, book, and manage private jet journeys in one app. Booking involves detailed choices about aircraft, routes, passengers, and services.

The design focused on making those choices easier to navigate while preserving the flexibility and personal service expected in private aviation.

Key objectives

  • Make booking choices easier to understand while keeping travelers in control.
  • Connect flight booking, travel services, and trip management in one journey.
  • Help travelers explore empty-leg flights alongside the main booking flow.
  • Express luxury through clear layouts, subtle details, and thoughtful interactions.

The Challenge

Private aviation is a world most people rarely get to experience first-hand.

Booking process involves detailed choices about aircraft, routes, passenger needs, and services. With limited access to travelers and operators, I studied competitor platforms, operator websites, industry reports, and traveler reviews.

The challenge was to make these decisions easier to navigate while preserving control, flexibility, and personal service.

Key Pains

Complex booking decisions

Aircraft, routes, passenger details, and service options create many decisions before a booking can be completed.

Service expectations

Travelers expect flexible, personal service without having to manage every operational detail themselves.

Disconnected trip planning

When flights and related services are arranged separately, travelers have more details to coordinate across the trip.

Design Response

Simplifying a Complex Booking Journey

Booking is organized into focused steps, with information introduced when it becomes relevant. Advanced options remain available, so travelers can work through the essentials while keeping control over the details of their trip.

Planning the whole journey

Transfers, catering, luggage, and personal assistance are part of the booking and trip experience. Keeping these services connected to the flight helps travelers plan the journey in one place.

Travel service customization interface

Exploring empty-leg flights

Empty-leg flights are presented by destination, giving travelers another way to explore available trips. These options sit alongside the main charter flow for travelers who can be flexible with where and when they fly.

A Quiet Expression of Luxury

Generous spacing, muted colors, subtle textures, and clear typography create a calm, premium feel.

Day and night flight cards reflect the travel context, while the profile frame takes inspiration from an aircraft window.

Project Outcome

The connected premium travel experience

Avianese reframed private aviation booking from a dense transactional process into a guided mobile experience that makes complex decisions easier to navigate without removing control or flexibility.

Flight booking, premium services, empty-leg discovery, and trip management are brought into one coherent journey, supported by a restrained visual system designed to feel premium without relying on decorative luxury cues.
